About the Artist
Cayman Kane, born Ahmad Kane January 30, 1993 Las Vegas Nevada.
I've been creating art as far back as I can remember. My Air Force family has always supported my efforts, especially my grandmother. My grandmother always took a liking to whatever I made and was my number one fan. I chose to go by Cayman as a homage to her after her passing. She always use to say “See you later alligator.”
My work is mainly based off of wacky characters that I've created over the years with the occasional head nod to pop-culture references within media and film. Originally I use to paint mainly on canvas until I attended Tony Dotson’s show at the Orphanage Gallery in Dayton Ohio. After meeting him, he inspired me to explore what I could do creatively with found wood. As I changed the direction of my art, I began receiving acclaim for my progress. My work is now collected around the world.
